National Day for Truth and Reconciliation September 30th CPD

Updated: Oct 7, 2022

September 30, 2022 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Durant Barristers will be observing that day by closing our offices to spend time learning about reconciliation and participate in community events. In addition, our associate Leslie Anne St. Amour, along with colleagues Karlie Nordstrom and Derek Mastin will be hosting a complimentary CPD for members of the legal profession, legal staff and law students on September 30th from 12:30pm – 2pm.

Join us to learn how legal professionals in all practice areas can contribute to reconciliation through a discussion of the Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

We are applying to the Law Society of Ontario for accreditation and last year the program received 1.5 hours of EDI Professionalism CPD hours.

If you would like to ask an question (anonymously!) to be answered during the CPD you can here: https://forms.office.com/r/VSRqmdeijp

As this is a free event, attendees are encouraged to make a donation to Aboriginal Legal Services in place of the fee normally paid for CPD programs.

Now that the session is passed, you can access the recording here: https://vimeo.com/756408784

The password is "september30" and we ask if you have not you still make a donation to Aboriginal Legal Services, as reconciliation is a year-long commitment, when watching this recording for CPD hours.
